I hope to utilize my joyful spirit and relational style of leadership to help people develop a better understanding of who God is and, in turn, a deeper relationship with Him. I am dedicated to ensuring a ministry that functions in an effective, focused manner. My goal is to develop comprehensive, well-balanced biblical instruction and programming aimed at growth opportunities with a focus on students and their families.

WORK EXPERIENCE​​
2020-Present
Youth & Associate Pastor                                 New Promise Church, Kirtland, OH

As the Youth/Associate Pastor at New Promise Church, my core responsibility is to shepherd and minister to the young members of our congregation. I am dedicated to guiding their spiritual growth, facilitating a deep understanding of scripture and theology, and fostering a personal relationship with God. 

  • Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Spiritual Guidance: Providing personalized spiritual guidance and support to the youth within our church and community, helping them navigate their faith journey. 

  • Teaching and Discipleship: Conducting teachings on scripture, theology, and spiritual matters to nurture a solid foundation of faith and spiritual understanding among the youth. 

  • Weekly Services: Leading two weekly services, held on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. This includes planning and orchestrating all aspects of the services, from worship and prayers to engaging messages, interactive games, and refreshments. 

  • Active Participation: Attending both the Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services, actively engaging with attendees, and ensuring the smooth execution of the planned activities. 

  • Effective Communication: Managing clear and timely communication of youth events and services to both the church staff and the congregation, ensuring everyone is well-informed. 

  • Special Youth Events: Initiating and organizing monthly youth events, enhancing fellowship and camaraderie among the youth. These events encompass a diverse range of activities, including Nerf events, karaoke nights, movie screenings, and outdoor outings. 

  • Annual Mission Trip: Overseeing the planning and execution of a yearly youth mission trip, which involves coordinating fundraising initiatives, guiding students in composing fundraising letters, and actively participating in fundraising events. 

  • Associate Pastor Role: Stepping into the role of Associate Pastor in the absence of a Senior Pastor, providing guidance to the staff and overseeing staff meetings. 

  • Pulpit Ministry: Delivering sermons approximately once a month, assuming preaching responsibilities when the Senior Pastor is unavailable.

  • Participates in a rotating teaching schedule for youth meetings and Sunday School for 80-100 Jr and Sr. High Students
  • Encourages teens to participate in church wide activities, services and serving in some manner
  • Passionately mentors small group leaders using my seminary degree to help them with writing their lessons
  • Lovingly mentor teens in small group settings; guys bonding nights, one-on-one meetings or phone calls to help them through hard times and encourage them in going deeper in their walk with God

  • Lead worship times; skillful in choosing worship songs that bring teens into a spirit of worship using the gifts and talents of teens within the group

  • Encouraging teens to participate in ministry opportunities such as Dry Bones (preparing food to feed homeless youth in Denver), Collecting canned goods from neighbours, volunteering in VBS which reached 300+ people

Examining contradictory assumptions in alternative philosophies, religions, and cults.

Focusing on the history and contemporary practices of biblical interpretation, with particular attention on the role of the Bible as the church’s Scriptures.
